A Balanced Life

As we celebrate Mother's Day, let us take a moment to honor and celebrate the strong women in our lives. While this day is traditionally focused on mothers, we acknowledge that there are many women who have made a significant impact on our lives, even if they are not our biological mothers. Whether it's a grandmother, aunt, sister, or friend, these women have played a vital role in shaping who we are today.
For those who may not be mothers, we want to recognize the delicate balance they often navigate daily. These women may not have children of their own, but they still possess an incredible strength and resilience that deserves to be celebrated. We want to honor all the women who have shown us love, care, and support throughout our lives and let them know how much they mean to us. Happy Mother's Day to all the strong women out there!

Today, as a mom, I am celebrating my children's successes. I love to watch them grow into the amazing people they are becoming. It brings me so much joy to see their accomplishments. My husband and I have always tried to do our best to guide our children toward success in all aspects of life. We encouraged them to work hard in school and always strive for good grades. It was always important to us that they could achieve their career goals as well, so we supported them in their journey when finding jobs that would help them grow and advance if that meant moving far away, across the Pacific to Maui.

But beyond just the professional side of things, we also emphasized the importance of kindness and empathy towards others. We wanted our children to be understanding and compassionate and always strive to make a positive impact on those around them.
We always encouraged our children to develop their spiritual lives, whatever that meant to them. Whether it was through attending church, meditation, or simply taking time to reflect and connect with something greater than themselves, we wanted them to have a strong sense of purpose and meaning in their lives.
This is why teaching balance was essential to me. In my weekly newsletter for the last month, we've discussed ways to achieve balance and harmony. We discussed caring for physical, mental, and emotional health while creating balance. We discussed strategies for physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, work/careers, finances, community work, and mission work (serving others).
I categorized my life and do a check-in routinely for:
MY HEALTH- clean eating, movement, sleep.
EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING-Connect with friends and family (They remind us that we are NOT alone) and self-care.
MY RELATIONSHIPS (family, friends, community)
MY CAREER- home managers count here.
MY FINANCES
MY MISSION WORK/COMMUNITY SERVICE (giving back)
MY SPIRITUAL LIFE (mindfulness, meditation, prayer, journaling).

Spiritual wellness is a crucial element of a balanced life that involves finding purpose and meaning in life, connecting with something greater than oneself, and creating inner peace and harmony. Engaging in activities aligning with our beliefs, practicing gratitude, meditation, prayer, and time in nature can improve our spiritual well-being.
We can find more fulfillment in our spiritual wellness purpose by focusing and engaging in activities like:
In addition, Journaling can help us learn and align our lives while reflecting and practicing gratitude in our daily lives can develop positive habits that shape our character and ultimately determine our destiny.
We can also create a space that is entirely ours, like an emotional well-being room or corner, where we can meditate and journal.
To find balance in our lives, we can use a scoring technique and rate ourselves between 1 and 10 in different areas. This can help us identify the category that needs our immediate attention. I use this technique, which I learned from high-performance coach Brendon Burchard. By prioritizing our emotional well-being and caring for ourselves, we can find balance and fulfillment in life.
Remember, taking care of our spiritual wellness is essential to achieving a balanced life. So let's prioritize our emotional well-being and create a space for ourselves to meditate, journal, or read.
Looking back, we are proud of our role in helping our children become successful, kind, and grounded individuals. It was not always easy, but it was always worth it. I am proud of my children and love to celebrate their achievements. Being a mom is truly the most rewarding job in the world!

This week's movement is not a physical exercise but rather a mental exercise. Meditation to calm the mind and promote better sleep. Focusing on mental health and practicing mindfulness is essential, as it can positively impact our overall well-being. So let's take some time to quiet our minds and find inner peace through meditation.
I suggest finding a peaceful room where you can relax without any disturbances. You could also use essential oils by diffusing them or rubbing a drop on your palm with a carrier oil, inhaling the fragrance. Aromatherapy has been known to promote emotional stability, and the recommended oils for meditation are Frankincense and Sandalwood. You can also try doTERRA Intune for better concentration or doTERRA Balance blend and doTERRA Yoga Collection (Anchor, Align, and Arise) for overall emotional well-being.
