With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude.

For those who may be new here, I’m a wellness coach passionate about helping you feel your strongest, most centered, and most vibrant at every stage of life. My connection to movement began at the age of three through dance—a joy that eventually unfolded into a lifelong love of teaching. But it was the injuries and life transitions (hello menopause!) that deepened my commitment to strength, mobility, and mindful living.

Those challenges pushed me to explore strength training, yoga, mobility work, breathwork, mindfulness, and healthy habits from a whole-person perspective. Through extensive training and certifications, I learned that true well-being isn’t just about how we move—it’s about how we live, breathe, and care for ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Now, I help others navigate that same transformational path. Whether your goal is to build strength, increase mobility, boost energy, reduce stress, or feel more at home in your body, I’m here to meet you exactly where you are—with compassion, encouragement, and a plan that fits your life.

I’ve been traveling, so I wanted to pull back the curtain and share exactly how I stay on track with my wellness plan while on the road—and how you can too.

Because wellness doesn’t disappear when you pack a suitcase.
And with the right mindset, tools, and community, you can stay grounded and strong no matter where life takes you.

Let’s Dive Into My Travel Wellness Plan

Since I’ve been on the road this week, I thought I’d take you behind the scenes and share how I stay grounded, energized, and consistent while traveling. These are simple practices—no gym, no perfect schedule needed—that keep me feeling strong, centered, and ready to enjoy every moment.

Here’s what my travel wellness routine looks like:

• I start with a simple pill organizer.
I pack my daily multivitamins and supplements so they’re easy to take—no fumbling through bottles or forgetting in the shuffle of travel days.

• I always bring protein bars or a small protein powder pack.
Travel delays happen (hello, sitting on the tarmac for two hours). Having something nourishing on hand keeps my energy up and helps me avoid grabbing whatever is closest.

• Movement is part of my adventure.
When I plan a trip, I schedule walking, hiking, or gentle mobility right into my itinerary. Exploring a new place becomes both sightseeing and self-care. It’s one of my favorite ways to stay consistent without feeling like I’m “working out.”

• Hydration is non-negotiable.
Road trips, airplanes, and full travel days can leave you dehydrated quickly. I keep my water bottle with me everywhere and use electrolytes if I need an extra boost.

• I protect my sleep.
Travel can be exciting, but also draining. I aim for a consistent bedtime, use a sleep mask when needed, and create a simple nighttime routine—even if it’s only five minutes of breathing and stretching.

• I give myself grace.
This may be the most important tip. Travel is unpredictable. Some days you hit 10,000 steps without trying; other days you’re sitting for hours. Wellness on the road is about staying intentional—not perfect.

These practices keep me energized, balanced, and feeling my best so I can fully enjoy the experience rather than recover from it later.

When we travel, movement often takes a back seat. Whether you’re in a car, on a plane, or sitting for long periods, tension builds quickly—especially in the neck and shoulders.

Stress Management Tip of the Week: A Moment of Self-Compassion

We’re heading into the busy holiday season—a time filled with joy, connection, and…let’s be honest, a lot of stress. That’s why it’s so important to pause, breathe, and create a little space for yourself.

This week, I’m sharing a 30-minute gentle stretch and meditation class I taught during one of my Tea-Time with Kimberly Book Club sessions. At the time, we were reading The Perfection Detox: Tame Your Inner Critic, Live Bravely, and Unleash Joy by Petra Kolber, and this class focused on:

✨ Softening self-criticism
✨ Cultivating compassion toward yourself
✨ Releasing physical tension
✨ Creating inner calm and acceptance

Way to Eat Healthier While Traveling

Traveling can throw off our usual eating habits, but with a few mindful strategies, you can stay nourished, energized, and on track—without sacrificing enjoyment. Here’s how I do it:

1. Pack Smart Snacks
Bring portable, nutrient-dense options like nuts, protein bars, fruit, or individual nut butter packets. These are lifesavers when flights are delayed, restaurants are limited, or hunger strikes between meals.

2. Prioritize Protein
Protein keeps your energy stable and helps prevent cravings. Choose eggs, yogurt, lean meats, or plant-based options whenever possible—whether at a breakfast buffet or a small cafe.

3. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Travel dehydrates the body faster than you realize. Keep a refillable water bottle handy and aim to drink throughout your journey. Adding lemon or electrolytes can help too.

4. Include Veggies & Fruits
Even when dining out, look for a side of vegetables or a salad first. Fruits make an easy, refreshing snack on the go.

5. Mindful Portions & Choices
It’s okay to enjoy travel treats, desserts, or local favorites—but be mindful of portion sizes and savor each bite. Eating with awareness makes indulgence feel satisfying without guilt.

6. Plan Ahead
If possible, check menus or grocery options in advance. Having a plan reduces stress and prevents last-minute “grab whatever” meals.

7. Don’t Skip Meals
Skipping meals may feel like it saves time, but it often leads to energy crashes and over-snacking later. Even a small breakfast or snack keeps your metabolism steady.
